Terms

Updated

A painting is sold only once Lisa has confirmed its price and size and how it reaches you, and you have said yes. The paintings, and every picture of them on this site, stay hers.

An inquiry is

  • A question to Lisa about one painting or several
  • Free, for an original, a print, or when you are not sure yet
  • How a sale begins on this site

An inquiry is not

  • An order, or a promise to buy
  • A hold on an original
  • A payment

Lisa confirms every price before anything is sold

Prices on this site are in US dollars. When she answers your inquiry, she confirms the price, the size, and what it costs to reach you. If a price here is out of date, the one she confirms is the price, and nothing is agreed until you accept it. To ask about a painting, open it on the Paintings page and write to her from its own page.

An original can sell while you are deciding

Each original is one of a kind, so a painting can sell before Lisa is able to answer you. If it does, its giclée print can still be ordered.

Giclée prints come in any size her printmaker offers, in the painting's own proportions, each printed to order on 100% cotton rag and shipped to you. A print price shown on a painting's page is for one size, and Lisa confirms the price of any other.

A screen shows the colors closely, not exactly

Every screen shows color a little differently, and a photograph cannot hold all of a watercolor's paper and light. If color matters for the room you have in mind, say so in your note, and ask Lisa anything before you decide.
